WAI performed a complete mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical design. The mechanical system design consists of a water source heat pump plant with a boiler/tower arrangement, terminal water source heat pumps (WSHP’s) for space comfort, a dedicated outside air ventilation system with dual pass energy recovery units (ERU’s) and full DDC-EMCS. Typical classrooms are provided with ventilation air from the ERU’s, a small water source heat pump for conditioning purposes, a classroom sink, direct and indirect lighting, task oriented power and data connections and a specialized teacher data/power outlet. The construction budget for this project is $19 million and it is scheduled for completion in October 2008. |
